Immerza, Virtual Reailty App

Immerza is a VR platform designed to improve mental well-being by helping users manage stress and achieve a better mindset through immersive VR experiences. Under the concept of “Mood on Demand,” Immerza allows users to experience curated VR scenes that help evoke specific emotional states such as calm, motivation, or awe, supported by guided meditations. In parallel, YourWorld, a contributor portal, allows creatives to design and upload their custom VR scenes, which can then be shared with users under selected mood categories.

This project allowed me to design not only the UI/UX for the VR environment but also the visual identity and web presence for Immerza. I was responsible for crafting interfaces for various VR interactions, the design of business materials, and the creation of a website in Framer, which established the brand’s futuristic yet calming aesthetic.

Visual Identity and Branding

Given that Immerza focuses on mental health, the visual identity needed to balance calmness and futurism. I developed a color scheme of soft purples, lilacs, and black gradients, which gave the platform a soothing yet cutting-edge feel. These colors were chosen to reflect both the calming aspects of meditation and the high-tech nature of VR. A key element of the visual identity is the portal-based visual, designed to symbolize Immerza’s ability to transport users into different emotional states, or "moods." This visual, featured prominently on the Immerza website, represents the platform’s four core mood categories—awe, motivation, calm, and focus.

The portals were crafted to visually capture the sensation of being carried into new realms of experience and mindset, aligning with Immerza’s goal of guiding users through immersive, emotional journeys. The foundation of this visual was generated using Adobe Firefly and later refined in Photoshop to achieve a more polished and thematic look.

I designed and launched the Immerza.com website using Framer, ensuring it aligned with the overall brand identity. The website needed to appeal to both consumers and businesses interested in Immerza's VR solutions. My aim was to create a visually engaging platform that introduced the Mood on Demand concept clearly and demonstrated the value of VR for mental well-being.

Crafting the VR Experience

Next, I turned my attention to the VR interface. The goal was to design user-friendly menus, profiles, and settings that promote seamless interaction. Each element was crafted with simplicity in mind, allowing users to effortlessly select scenes and personalize their experiences.

Contributor Portal: YourWorld

The heart of community engagement lies in the YourWorld contributor portal. Here, VR scene designers can upload and share their creations, fostering a collaborative environment. I focused on making this portal intuitive, enabling users to easily upload their scenes or personalize existing ones with features like audio and visual adjustments.

Key Takeaways

Balancing Immersion with Usability: Designing for VR requires careful attention to user flow and interaction design, ensuring that the interface is intuitive without breaking the immersive experience.

Cross-Platform Consistency: I gained experience in developing a cohesive brand identity across multiple platforms, ensuring that users and business clients experience the same aesthetic and functional quality.

Collaborating with Business Development: Working closely with the business side of Immerza helped me understand how design can align with corporate goals, especially when creating materials for trade shows, presentations, and client interactions.
